2009-2010
Membership Dues
Gateway strives to maintain a dues level that will not prohibit a skater from participating, however, we must be able to pay the rink for our ice-time.  Upon review of our anticipated ice expense the board has set the dues for the 2009-2010 season.

1 skater = $ 425
2 skaters = $ 825
3 or more skaters = $ 1150

Skaters from other clubs are asked to donate $150 to contribute to the ice expense.

A late fee of $50 will be added
for dues not paid in full by November 15th.

In competitions Skaters are generally grouped by
Racing Divisions
or
Ability

Racing Divisions are listed below and are how the US Age Group Nationals are conducted starting with the Pony group. At larger meets girls race against girls and boys against boys.  At smaller meets the boys and girls of a like division may be combined.

Ability based meets are designed such that everyone is placed in a racing group based on seed time submitted on the race application whether boy or girl.  This allows the skaters to compete with those closest to them in ability.  It often provides for better opportunity to improve ones racing skills and prepares skaters for larger meets that are held by divisions.
